Release the Tape!

Good on the Miami Herald for suing to get the videotape of the beating of the youngster who died at a boot camp in Bay County. And I think it's an open and shut case -- as soon as they let two legislators see the tape, everybody should see it and I think case law backs that up. When this comes out, it's going to be everywhere (as foreshadowed by CNN joining the case with the Herald). And when it's released, the inestimable Carol Marbin Miller should get a few First Amendment awards.

Funny how all the conservatives, with JEB! in the lead, were quick to intervene to "save" Terri Schaivo (culture of life and all that), but seem a bit quiet regarding what would most accurately be described as the murder of a child.

well said anonymous well said in a diplomatic way you have hit the nail on the head. as for me, a black person and currenlty pursuing a batchelors degree in journalism as well as a minor in sociology it comes as no surprise to see things of this nature continuing in this country. things have changed for the worse and the current psychological crises that the leaders of the country have placed all its citizens under especially those who are black is a well structured part of the neo liberal agenda being pursued.

our greatest threat is not from outside sources. it is this current administration who insists like it is some god given right to
change the world. this beating can be taken as a literary example of what america as a human being has become. you see there are three distinct america's there is white america. (the status quo) there is black america ( the house and field slaves )then there is economic america that encompasses the immigrants of all other nations.in this case whom do you think is more disposable??????
